I played the New game and whole new game plus with fighting cowboy's Lightning odachi build with some tweak. And it has always served me well. Ult stat can be randomly rolled onto scroll as long as it's dream of wise scrolls above. Doing a scroll the first time would unlock it with random bonuses. Doing it a second time onward will allow u to randomly chance one of the stats that's not fixed. Star effect mostly appears as random on armor. So mostly it's pure rng based.Extend Evasion Invulnerability (the window during a dodge where you take no damage is increased) 6 Pieces. Unlimited Shuriken (Shuriken style attacks gain an infinite supply, but start costing Ki) 7 Pieces. Dragon Sword: Truth (Increases Ki recovery and Attack when using the Dragon Sword or Hayabusa Style Kusarigama) Dragon Ninja is a Set in Nioh.
The protection is pretty amazing in heavy yokai missions. You can also use those yokai urns to help buildup your shield. Also refreshes your Protection Talisman (sorta, its just your bonus "temp hp"). Fantastic for really light builds with high Constitution. In terms of weapons, I think the odachi is pretty cool along with the kusarigama, switchglaive and the splitstaff.The Odachi was a dlc weapon in Nioh 1 and it benefits the same stat as Axe does.
