Occasionally (not every boot), my GPU will have a red flashing light where the power cable connects to it. I have read that it is something do with a lack of power to the card, but I have a 650w power supply (which is more than enough). I had the same problem after a power outtage, I solved this by turning of the machine and unplug it from it's power source and unplugged the power connector from the power supply, waited a couple of seconds and reconnected everyting again.
